Bed/Wheelchair Transfer

Understanding body mechanics and positioning are important concepts in moving/transferring your loved one from bed to a wheelchair and wheelchair back to the bed. If done improperly, serious injury can result for your loved one and/or the caregiver. Does your loved one need a gait belt? Is the floor slippery? Are there non-skid socks handy? Our caregivers are trained and ready to handle the safe transfer of your loved one using proper techniques. Additionally, we have caregivers that are trained specifically to handle Hoyer lifts and slings that assist with transfers.
