Compassionate In-Home Care Tailored to Your Needs

Aloma Home Care

Dedicated to helping seniors live safely and independently at home, with a personalized care plan built around your family’s needs.

From our office located in Spring, TX, we proudly serve many cities throughout the Greater Houston area in Texas.

Aloma Home Care is a home care agency serving seniors, veterans, and families throughout the Greater Houston area. Because our caregivers are our own employees, not contractors assigned through a registry, every visit comes from someone we have personally trained, screened, and stand behind.

Every care plan begins with a genuine conversation about what your family actually needs, whether that means a few hours of senior assistance each week or full live-in support. As a veteran co-owned, CHAP-accredited agency, we bring both the credentials families look for and the compassion they deserve.

What Sets Aloma Home Care Apart

What sets us apart isn’t any single service — it’s how we deliver all of them. Our caregivers are our own employees, not contractors from a registry, so the people caring for your family are trained, supervised, and accountable to us. We’re veteran co-owned, which shapes how seriously we take reliability and follow-through. And every care plan is built from scratch around the person receiving it, never pulled from a standard package.

Our CHAP accreditation means we’ve been independently reviewed and held to national standards for quality care — a level of oversight most home care agencies never pursue.

Every caregiver completes a background check, motor vehicle report, sex offender registry check, employment verification, and drug screening before ever meeting a client.

Our clients and their families are protected by comprehensive coverage behind every visit.

Aloma Home Care operates as a licensed home care agency, with Certified Senior Care Managers on staff.

Our Mission

We exist to help people remain where they belong most, home, by delivering trusted, compassionate care that protects dignity, supports independence, and improves the quality of life for seniors, veterans, and families through compassionate caregivers and personalized support.

Premier Senior Home Care in Spring, TX

As a trusted senior home care agency, Aloma Home Care helps families throughout the Greater Houston area find the right level of support, whether that’s a few hours of help each week or full-time care. For veterans and their surviving spouses, we also help navigate VA Pension with Aid and Attendance, a tax-free monthly benefit that can help offset the cost of care at home. Because benefit amounts depend on marital status, income, and level of care needed, we partner with the Care Planning Institute so veteran families can understand exactly what they may qualify for.

As a CHAP-accredited agency backed by a team of Certified Senior Care Managers, we bring both experience and accountability to every client we serve, caring for your loved one the way we would want someone to care for our own family.

Personal Care

Personal Care

When everyday tasks like bathing or getting dressed start to feel unsafe or exhausting, it changes how someone experiences their own home. Our Personal Care caregivers step in with hands-on help delivered with patience and respect, so clients can keep doing things their own way, just with a steadier hand nearby.

Personal Care from Aloma Home Care can include:

  • Bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance
  • Mobility and transfer assistance
  • Toileting and incontinence care
  • Oral hygiene support
  • Medication reminders
  • Conversation and companionship
Companion Care

Companion Care

Some of the hardest days for a senior aren’t the ones with a medical challenge. They’re the quiet ones with no one to talk to. Companion Care pairs your loved one with a caregiver who shows up consistently, remembers what matters to them, and turns an ordinary afternoon into good company.

Companion Care from Aloma Home Care can include:

  • Accompanying clients to doctor’s appointments and errands
  • Assistance with morning wake-up and bedtime routines
  • Medication reminders
  • Playing games, reading, and other engaging activities
  • Visiting neighbors and friends
  • Organizing mail and correspondence
Post-Surgical & Recovery Care

Post-Surgical & Recovery Care

Coming home from the hospital is often when families feel least prepared. Discharge instructions are a lot to manage, and a setback in those first weeks can undo real progress. Our caregivers bridge that gap, helping clients recover in familiar surroundings without losing the support a hospital stay provided.

Post-Surgical & Recovery Care from Aloma Home Care can include:

  • Coordinating care around hospital discharge instructions
  • Assistance with mobility and safe movement during recovery
  • Monitoring for changes in comfort or condition
  • Medication reminders
  • Light housekeeping and meal support during recovery
  • Companionship throughout the healing process
Respite Care

Respite Care

Family caregivers rarely ask for help until they’re already running on empty. Respite Care gives you permission to step away, whether that’s for a weekend, a work trip, or just a full night’s sleep, without worrying about who’s checking in on your loved one.

Respite Care from Aloma Home Care can include:

  • Short-term and flexible scheduling to fit your needs
  • Attend to daily living activities in your absence
  • Home safety supervision
  • Personal care and hygiene support
  • Companionship and engagement
  • Peace of mind for family caregivers

Dementia / Alzheimer’s Care

Memory loss changes the rhythm of a household, and it can be disorienting for everyone involved, not just the person living with it. Our caregivers are trained to meet clients where they are on any given day, using consistency and calm redirection to keep confusion and agitation from taking over.

Dementia / Alzheimer’s Care from Aloma Home Care can include:

  • Engaging activities for mental stimulation
  • Consistent daily routines to reduce confusion
  • Medication reminders on a set schedule
  • Assistance with personal care and hygiene
  • Compassionate support during difficult moments
  • Communication with family on changes in condition
Veteran Care

Veteran Care

Many veterans and surviving spouses don’t realize they’ve earned a benefit that could help pay for the exact kind of care they need at home. Aloma Home Care partners with the Care Planning Institute to help veterans and their families understand what they may qualify for through VA Pension with Aid & Attendance, while our caregivers handle the day-to-day support.

Veteran Care from Aloma Home Care can include:

  • Guidance through the VA Aid & Attendance application process
  • Personal care tailored to each veteran’s needs
  • Companionship and daily living support
  • Medication reminders
  • Mobility assistance
  • Coordination with VA benefits specialists
  • Contracted with Tri-West
Light Housekeeping

Light Housekeeping

A home that used to run smoothly can slip out of order quickly, and the laundry piling up or dishes sitting in the sink is often the first sign a loved one is struggling. Cluttered walkways and neglected chores are more than an eyesore; they are a safety risk. Aloma Home Care keeps the household running so your loved one stays comfortable in a clean, safe space without the burden of doing it alone.

Light Housekeeping from Aloma Home Care can include:

  • Laundry, including washing, drying, and folding
  • Changing bed linens and making beds
  • Washing dishes and tidying the kitchen after meals
  • Dusting, vacuuming, and sweeping living areas
  • Wiping down bathroom surfaces and keeping them sanitary
  • Taking out the trash and clearing clutter that creates fall hazards
In-Facility Care

In-Facility Care

Facility staff do their best, but a shared caseload means individual attention is often limited to the essentials. Our caregivers work alongside assisted living and facility teams to give your loved one the one-on-one time, conversation, and extra advocacy that a busier staffing ratio just can’t offer.

In-Facility Care from Aloma Home Care can include:

  • One-on-one companionship beyond facility staff availability
  • Personal care and hygiene assistance
  • Mealtime support and encouragement
  • Accompaniment to facility activities and appointments
  • Extra eyes on comfort, safety, and wellbeing
  • Flexible scheduling around facility routines

Why Families Trust Aloma Home Care

Trust isn’t something we ask for; it’s something we try to earn every single day, one visit at a time. We’re CHAP-accredited, veteran co-owned, and fully licensed, bonded, and certified, and we’re proud to have served more than 80 veterans and their families since 2021. But credentials only tell part of the story. What really matters is that we show up when we say we will, we listen before we plan, and we treat every client the way we’d want our own family treated. Don’t just take our word for it; our clients say it better than we can.

At Aloma Home Care, we take pride in delivering customized, holistic care that is uniquely tailored to each client’s needs. Our client-centered approach, precise caregiver-client matching, and rigorous caregiver training ensure that your loved one receives not only compassionate but also highly personalized care. We are Licensed, Bonded, and Certified, with Certified Senior Care Managers on staff. What are the advantages to in-home care?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

In-home care allows older adults to remain in the comfort of their homes while receiving personalized, one-on-one care. It promotes independence, enhances safety, and provides a seamless continuation of care as your loved one’s needs change over time.

When can I expect the state-mandated supervisory visits to take place?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

An annual assessment is conducted to meet state requirements. However, if there are any changes in your needs or condition, a reassessment may be warranted sooner to ensure you receive the appropriate level of care, which may also include additional supervisory visits based on those changes.

Can I give money to the caregiver?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

No. To protect the client and caregiver, all client payments must be received electronically or through arrangements made with the client manager. Aloma prohibits caregivers from receiving money from clients directly. Gifts under $25 are allowed but must be disclosed to management immediately.

Can the caregiver eat with me?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

Yes. We encourage caregivers to eat meals with the client if requested.

How do I know my caregiver is qualified for me?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

Aloma spends a great deal of time recruiting, hiring, and training caregivers. We have a tier system that matches a qualified caregiver to the client’s needs. Along with the background checks, caregivers also go through an extensive orientation and training program, plus continued training and repeated background checks yearly. We will be in constant contact if there is ever a concern, so please let us know.

How do you screen your caregivers?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

Each caregiver goes through a rigorous screening process, which includes:

  • Background checks by the Department of Public Safety
  • Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Sex offender registry checks
  • Employment verification and reference checks
  • Drug screenings
How do I file a complaint if I’m unhappy with services?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

Upon onboarding, you were given a complaint and grievance form. You may fill that out or contact your assigned care lead, client manager, or home office. There is also a place in SmartCare where you can leave feedback about your caregiver (both positive and negative), which we encourage you to do. To leave feedback, go to your SmartCare dashboard and scroll down to “My Feedback.” Here is where you will find a section to document complaints, suggestions, and rate your caregiver.

How do you keep me safe from COVID-19?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

Our caregivers use standard infection control principles, including universal precautions as directed by the CDC. PPE (personal protective equipment) such as gloves and masks will be supplied to caregivers by Aloma. In addition, all caregivers must complete a pre-screen prior to every shift. If fever or illness is indicated, the caregiver is prohibited from electronically clocking into the SmartCare portal. Once administrators and care supervisors are contacted, you will also be made aware. Aloma follows CDC guidelines and protocols, so caregivers are quarantined and documented days off are observed in accordance. If a caregiver is unavailable due to illness and an alternate is not available, families may have to provide interim care.

Am I able to view my files and signed documents?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

Yes. From your client dashboard on SmartCare, go to client manager forms and resources. Here you can view all the onboarding signed documents, care plan, VA orders (if applicable), and more.

How do I know if I qualify for Veterans Aid and Attendance benefits?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

You may be eligible for Aid and Attendance benefits if you meet the following criteria:

  • Over the age of 65
  • A veteran, spouse of a living veteran, or the surviving spouse of a veteran
  • Served in active military duty for at least 90 days, with at least one day during a designated wartime (e.g., WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War)
  • Received an honorable discharge
  • Meet the income requirements
  • Require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, or meal preparation
What are my payment options for home care services?2026-08-27T19:36:29+00:00

We offer flexible payment options for your convenience, including:

  • Regular VA benefits, billed through Triwest
  • Veterans Aid and Attendance benefits
  • Long-term care insurance
  • EFT (ACH)
  • Credit cards and checks

Since we are non-medical, we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid as a form of payment for services.

How much does service cost?2026-08-27T19:36:30+00:00

Aloma Home Care strives to provide customized care services tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. When it comes to determining the cost of our services, we understand the importance of transparency and affordability.
