How are family members kept informed?
Communication arrangements can be established during care planning. Appropriate updates may be provided to authorized family members while respecting the client’s privacy and the facility’s policies.
Does the facility need to approve an outside caregiver?
Requirements vary by community. Aloma Home Care and the family may need to coordinate with facility management before services begin.
What can an in-facility caregiver assist with?
Depending on the care plan and facility rules, support may include companionship, personal care, mealtime encouragement, activities, mobility assistance, and accompaniment within the community.
Does an Aloma caregiver replace the facility’s staff?
No. Aloma caregivers supplement the services provided by the facility. They do not replace facility staff, nurses, physicians, therapists, or the facility’s required responsibilities.
What is in-facility care?
In-facility care provides additional one-on-one, non-medical support for a client living in assisted living, independent living, memory care, rehabilitation, or another approved residential setting.
